2026年4月より小槻・岡﨑研究室に、特任研究員としてJagdeep Singh Sodhiさんが着任されました。 以下、ご本人からの自己紹介です。
I am an atmospheric science researcher with a PhD from McGill University, Canada, working at the specialized intersection of high-resolution numerical modeling and data assimilation.My background offers a distinct perspective by combining the computational rigor of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models with extensive experience in remote sensing. During my previous postdoctoral research, I focused exclusively on satellite and ground-based weather radar observations, an experience that now allows me to bridge the gap between NWP models and real-world observations more effectively. I am driven by the challenge of improving the predictability of convective storms at much finer scales, refining our ability to capture the small-scale dynamics that are essential for accurate, localized weather forecasting.
